UA723 HOT!!!! The 723 chip on the (+) Regulator section is running super hot, almost 75C and increasing. Meanwhile, on the working (-) regulator section, it’s only 42C. So I reckon the ua723 regulator part is the culprit and the power transistor seems to be working just fine. The Transistor is not getting enough Vbe control voltage coming from the ua723 is it’s not turning ON, and remains mostly OFF and thus no V+ output voltage. Off to eBay to buy an obsolete ua723HCG part.
